Bivalent Covid additional booster vaccines are now available, please book by phoning the clinic.

An additional Pfizer BA.4/5 COVID-19 bivalent booster is now available for people who have completed a primary vaccination course (for most people this is 2 doses).

The minimum dose interval between additional booster doses remains 6 months after COVID-19 disease or previous COVID19 vaccine. Clinical discretion can be applied to spacing rules, minimum 5 months between primary and booster, 4 months between booster doses, and from 3 months after illness. Vaccine given outside this spacing will require a prescription.

You can get this booster, regardless of how many boosters you have had, if you are:

  • aged 30 and over or

  • at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 (age 16+)

  • Pregnant people aged 16+

  • Severely immunocompromised young people aged 12-15 (on prescription).

Covid funding is being cut further by Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand from 13th Feb 2023.

  • Most patients will need to pay the usual copayment to consult with a doctor for all respiratory illnesses including covid-19.

  • Some patients will still be able to have a funded free visit.

  • The funding criteria is complicated and depends on a lot of factors, we would advise if you qualify after your consultation.

  •  If possible, please perform a home RAT test before your appointment if you have acute respiratory symptoms.

We offer in person and telephone consultations.

If you are coming to the clinic and you have cold or flu symptoms, please wait in your car or outside at the front porch and phone us upon arrival.

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered via H365 or by phoning.

Online appointment bookings via our patient portal Health365 are now enabled.
